Decouple Breeze from Entity Framework
I like what Breeze does but I need it to work for a hand rolled ORM or NHibernate or any other ORM.
I would also like it to be able to cope with classes that don't have navigation properties in them. NHibernate does not force you to pollute your business entities with foreign keys to allow it to work. Breeze needs to be able to deal with this.
Complete as of 1.4.
Our latest sample, Zza! (Node/MongoDB) is completely decoupled from EF.
In regards to NHibernate specifically: we’re actively working on it and anticipate a Breeze + NHibernate sample in the near future.
Maybe I've found someone who has done this. dotnetricardo has created SummerBreeze which is "a metadata generator library and entity creation client script to use with BreezeJS for no DB, no EF ORM or EF ORM with DTO scenarios (non 1:1 entity mappings)."

I don't think Breeze is coupled with Entity Framework. Please check the NoDB or Edmund sample. We have successfully used this model for our large scale application.
